Frequently Asked Questions About The Wild Divine

1. Welcome to The Wild Divine! Wild Divine manufactures and sells hardware (The Iom) along with interactive software that allows users to explore the mind-body connection in real time. The Iom is a consumer electronic device that uses finger sensors to transmit, in real-time, your levels of stress, tension, excitement, or calmness to the software installed on your PC or Mac. Depending on the desired outcome, your thoughts, emotions, levels of stress, tension, or excitement cause things to change on the computer screen. Some training events may require you to meditate and relax, others will ask you to raise your energy level. Training your mind and body to adapt to different desired states is called “Adaptive Coherence”.

2. What is the Iom? The Iom is cutting edge feedback technology. (about the size of an iPod). Three comfortable fingertip sensors connects the Iom to PC or Mac via a USB port.

3. What software programs are available that work with the Iom? We have three software programs for use with the Iom. The first is our original (which has been inducted into the Macworld Hall of Fame), Journey to Wild Divine: The Passage. Presented in an adventure game format, in which you travel the Sun Realm, learning and performing feedback exercises along the way. The second product is Wisdom Quest, featuring Deepak Chopra, which is an expansion pack for The Passage. Our third, and current, flagship product is Healing Rhythms, a 15-step guided training program featuring Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Andrew Weil, and other leaders in the Health & Wellness industry. 5. What was the Lightstone? The lightstone was the first version of our feedback hardware, and has been replaced with The Iom. All Wild Divine software works with both the Iom and Lightstone, but the Lightstone has been discontinued in favor of the Iom, and is not longer available.

8. How was the feedback system developed? The feedback portion of the Iom hardware has a well-proven scientific basis. It was developed in collaboration with some of the best feedback experts in the country, in particular, we chose those whose work empahsized optimal human performance, such as Liana Mattulich, M.D., Dr. Bob Whitehouse, and Sunny Turner. According to Dr. Bob Whitehouse, psychologist and biofeedback expert, who consulted on the game, feedback uses electronic equipment to monitor people’s internal physiological states and gives feedback that helps the recipient learn how to control these states, to activate balance, release or to recover from them. Others that contributed to The Wild Divine are Jean Houston, a pioneer researcher in human capacities, Nawang Khechog, a former Buddhist monk and one of Tibet’s foremost world music composers and musicians.
